About Us at Martinez Brothers Taxidermy
Alejandro Martinez was born in Austin, Texas. He began working for Paschall’s Taxidermy at the age 15. After six years as an apprentice, he became a master taxidermist. He worked eighteen years and purchased the business at age 33.
During his employment he designed custom work for numerous politicians, including John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Mark White, and Bob Bullock. A Martinez Brother’s Taxidermy mount has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute. He also assisted with mounts exhibited in Texas museums.
Served in the U.S. Marine Corps, disabled Vietnam Veteran. He is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8925.
Twenty year member of Greater East Austin Optimist Club, served as President and Vice President. The club assisted with the passing of the bonds for the construction of the Montopolis Little League Sports Complex. He coached and managed little league baseball for twenty-seven years.
Graduate of University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs Leadership Innovation 88’.
Served on the Austin Police Department’s Community Relations Committee- Montopolis Storefront in the mid 1970’s.
